Make a difference in your community and help prepare a child for success in school. Caring adult volunteers are needed for a variety of roles to help make YMCA Bright Beginnings a success. Shop with a child or stuff backpacks with school supplies and make sure deserving children start the school year with all the necessities. Goal: Bright Beginnings makes for confident and prepared kids on the first day of school and contributing and engaged adults tomorrow. The only thing it will cost you is your time. We typically have about 40 children to shop for each day and like to have two volunteers per child so invite a friend to sign up as well. Volunteers will arrive 8:30 a.m. for a brief orientation. Shopping with the children will be from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
