Make a difference in your community and help prepare a child for success in school. Caring adult volunteers are needed for various roles to help make YMCA Bright Beginnings a success. Shop with a child or stuff backpacks with school supplies and make sure deserving children start the school year with all the necessities. Goal: Bright Beginnings makes for confident and prepared kids on the first day of school and contributes to and engages adults tomorrow. We typically have about 25 children to shop for each day, and like to have two volunteers per child, so invite a friend to sign up as well. Volunteers will arrive at 8:30 a.m. for a brief orientation. Shopping with the children will be from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm

All participants will follow youth safety guidelines and maintain appropriate clean, safe, and healthy protocols. Volunteer orientation will discuss proper guidelines for working with the children. Volunteers must complete all required credentials before reporting for their first day of service.
