Make a difference in your community and help prepare a child for success in school. Caring adult volunteers are needed for a variety of roles to help make YMCA Bright Beginnings a success. Shop with a child or stuff backpacks with school supplies and make sure deserving children start the school year with all the necessities. We will be shopping for approximately 30 underserved children from our community and we need the help of volunteers to escort the children while shopping for back to school clothes. The only thing it will cost you is your time. Volunteers will arrive at 9:30 a.m. for a brief orientation. Shopping with the children will start at 10:00 a.m. Goal: Bright Beginnings makes for confident and prepared kids on the first day of school and contributing and engaged adults tomorrow.

To assist students grades K-5 to pick out new school clothes.

All participants will follow youth safety guidelines and maintain appropriate clean, safe, and healthy protocols. Volunteer orientation will discuss proper guidelines for working with the children. Volunteers must complete all required credentials before reporting for their first day of service.
